POPE LEO XIV’s PRAYER INTENTION FOR APRIL 2026
FOR PRIESTS IN CRISIS
Let us pray for priests going through moments of crisis in their vocation, that they may find the accompaniment they need and that communities may support them with understanding and prayer.
Divine Mercy Sunday
All are welcome to come and celebrate the Hour of Divine Mercy, Sunday, April 12th from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. at St. Peter’s Parish. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available during the hour, you may also receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, prior to Divine Mercy Sunday, or you may do so within 20 days after. To ensure that the faithful observe this day with intense devotion, St. Pope John Paul II established a Plenary Indulgence to receive complete forgiveness and punishment, (as Jesus said), so that they might, in turn, show pardon to their brothers and sisters. Conditions to obtain the Plenary Indulgence are Reconciliation, Communion and Prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father and take part in prayers and devotions in honour of Divine Mercy in any Church or Chapel.

Are you visiting a parishioner who is home-bound or perhaps a patient in a care facility? Are you bringing communion to a shut-in? St. Peter’s would like to reach out to those parishioners who are homebound and would like a monthly Parish visit and receive the Eucharist. If you have a family member, or neighbour, who would like a visit, please call the office.
The Go Team wants to find out who is presently making home or institutional visits. We hope to create an “Outreach Team” to support this important work of Going Out to those individuals who want to keep their connection with the Parish, even if they cannot attend Mass in person.
