Announcements and Events

ANNOUNCEMENTS (click to collapse)

Fr. Theo will lead a four week study and discussion series exploring how the COVID 19 pandemic has reshaped Catholic life and what new opportunities and challenges it presents for evangelization today.
Together, we will reflect on how the Church can renew its mission, strengthen community, and respond creatively and faithfully to the spiritual needs that have emerged in the pandemic’s aftermath.
Sessions will be held every Tuesday in June, immediately following the evening Mass in the Parish Hall. All are welcome to participate in these important conversations on faith, hope, and the future of the Church.
The next 2 meetings will be on June 23 and June 30.

TEENAGE PILGRIMAGE
Teenagers from Grade 7 to Grade 12 are invited to take part in a pilgrimage to Cap-de-la-Madeleine in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. This Pilgrimage will take place on August 15th. You can register by calling the Parish office, no later than July 18th. There is limited seating of only 20 (no cost to the student). The bus will leave St. Peter’s parking lot at 12:00 noon and return by 12:00 midnight. We will be taking part in a candlelight procession before returning home.

Volunteers are needed for the livestreaming of the 9:30 am and 11:15 am Masses. If you have a working knowledge of Facebook and how to operate an Apple iPad, this may be for you. Training will be provided.

Help Us Reach the Finish Line
More than $1 million has already been raised toward our Archdiocese’s $1.2million Indigenous Reconciliation Fund pledge. Funds from the campaign have helped support projects including the Ottawa Children and Youth Pow Wow, a student exchange with Cree students from the Northwest Territories as well as cultural learning opportunities for students attending Akwesasne’s three schools. On Sunday, June 21, parishes across our Archdiocese will hold a collection for the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund. Learn more or donate online at journeyforhealing.ca

St. Peter’s Parish now has a men’s group that is meeting weekly for faith sharing and mutual support.
We currently have openings for new members.
